ABOUT THE BERTSCHS

Bryan and Dawn Bertsch have been residents of Los Angeles for 15 years, living in Venice Beach. Bryan is a General Contractor and has been working as a Superintendent for custom builders for over 10 years. Dawn recently took a hiatus from her long time career as a manufacturer's sales rep. in the garment industry and is not sure she will be going back! They both enjoy the outdoors tremendously, are members of the American Alpine Club and the Access Fund and are avid climbers, backpackers and campers. Married for 10 years in October, they have finally decided to make the move and take up residence in another place of their choosing, but only after traveling around a while to find it.

After a huge decision not to buy a house in Los Angeles, they will be traveling extensively throughout the U.S. & Mexico, Canada and Europe prior to settling down again. Although the trip is mostly all fun, they are hoping it will provide them with a better outlook on where they really want to live, in addition to providing a lifetime of experiences to share.

This website is a way to keep everyone posted on where they are, what they have been doing and where they are going next. They will be posting excerpts from their journal along with pictures to go with them so you can share in the journey. If you are a visitor you are welcome to follow along! They hope to add you to the growing list. If you check back from time to time you can track their every move.
